Epic is another one of the (few) groups of good guys out there trying to save our freedom and privacy. They have been active in protecting free speech (both online and off), exposing illegal government spying, advocating transparency (we supposedly live in a democracy, doncha know?), fighting for human rights (increasingly threatend even though "freedom is on the march") and much, much more. FREEDOM FROM RELIGION FOUNDATION
Forgive us for saying so (those of you who are very touchy about your faith), but we believe organized religion is one of the greatest sources of harm, misery, murder and death in the world, from ancient times to the present moment. Need we mention the Crusades, the Inquisition, the perrenial carnage in the Middle East, etc., etc., etc.? Millions upon millions have killed and died in the name of God (and interestingly enough, not in the name of the Devil, but that's a different subject...). Big religion and big government working together spells even more trouble for everyone. Founded by Dan Barker, a former evangelist, the FFRF is an organization dedicated to keeping church and state completely seperate — as the Founding Fathers intended. So, whether you're a died-in-the-wool athiest, a hard-and-fast believer or somewhere inbetween, check 'em out and support 'em!
