	So what is the U.S.S.A.? It’s us, baby, and it's where our products are made — the United Socialist States of Amerika. We’re proud of our products and our American heritage. We’re just not proud of what we’ve become... When I told you what U.S.S.A. stands for, I think I heard you say “Wha?!?!?” Yeah. Well. It’s a play on words, though I’m not playin’ here. Not a all. I’m Mr. aaaTee. Let me explain... In briefest terms, we "fought" and "won" the Cold War only to become the thing we "defeated." We're not much different from the socialist states of Europe and Asia.		And that's the way the big boys want it. Is it good, bad or a mixed bag? Probably the last. Socialism isn't necessarily a bad thing – in theory. And it is in society’s interest that oldsters get fed and kids get their shots, to name just two examples. Unfortunately, there’s never been a socialistic system in all the world that wasn’t poorly run (and that’s putting it nicely). History shows none of 'em last. In fact, none of 'em can last. It’s the very nature of the thing that brings about it’s end: the needs (i.e. demands) of the many overwhelm the production of the few. And then... kerflooie!

	Back in 1990, the artist known as Mr. aaaTee met a crusty old communist/socialist who'd been active in "the struggle" for 60 years. He'd been beaten, blacklisted, harrassed, the whole deal.		When asked, "Now that the Iron Curtain has fallen, how does it feel to have finally lost." "Lost?"* he said incredulously. "Lost? We* didn't lose." Chuckling wryly, he said: "Not at all. You did..."

Our system is now a weird amalgum of capitalism and socialism. Frankly, it also resembles another kind of "ism" — the one that begins with an "f". People forget that fascism is just another form of socialism. The Nazis were the National Socialist German Workers Party. Mussolini said: "Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power." That's another shirt (hey, we're workin' on it) for another time...

Most thinking Amerikans accept that fact that we have massive socialist programs. They just can’t seem to go to the logical next step: that we're a socialist nation.

Heck, we’ve fully implemented the 10 Planks of the Communist Manifesto. And more! If that doesn’t prove the point, probably nothing ever will.

On the faint hope and slim chance that shock therapy might wake a few hapless sleeping souls from their suicidal slumbers, Mr. aaaTee has created the U.S.S.A. tee shirt. Wear it with pride, even though we should all be ashamed that our out-of-control spendthrift Big Brother government is frog marching us to the poor house – or was it the Big House?
